Where is the Explore Store located?

Can I use a museum gift card to make a purchase?
Yes, you can purchase and redeem Science Museum gift cards in person at the Explore Store.
Gift cards can be purchased online but cannot currently be applied to online purchases.
Do Members get a discount?
Yes! Check your weekly member emails for any promotional codes or sales. (And don’t forget, members receive a 10% discount on Explore Store purchases year-round!). If you have misplaced the member promotional code, email email@example.com and we will be happy to provide you with the discount code to apply to your purchase.
Orders are packaged and shipped weekly, expect a 3-5 business delay in processing your order. Shipments may take 7-10 business days to arrive after the order has been processed.
Products can be shipped internationally, however additional duties and taxes may apply that are not calculated in your purchase total.
In-store pickup is available for online orders, however this is not curbside pickup.
Customers may choose to pick up their order at the Explore Store instead of paying for shipping. Once a fulfillment email has been sent, you are able to come pickup your order during open hours at the Explore Store. Please ask for your order at the counter.
If in-store pickup will take you more than 15 minutes, please talk to an associate for details about free parking.
All customers visiting the museum for an in-store pick up must adhere to the health and safety guidelines including wearing a mask. Learn more about visiting the museum safety.
Items that are purchased as a pre-order are fulfilled as soon as merchandise is available. You will be informed on the status and shipping of your pre-order via email. If you purchase additional items alongside a pre-order, your order will be fulfilled when all merchandise is available.
All web and in-store purchases, returns, and exchanges will be handled by the Science Museum’s Explore Store. Gift cards and masks are final sale.
Customers have up to 60 days from the date of purchase to return or exchange the products.
- Proof of purchase is required for a full refund.
- Returns without a proof of purchase will receive a store credit in the amount of the item's sale price.
An extension of the 60 days for returns will be honored due to the museum closure.
All merchandise returns must be sent postpaid to the Explore Store at the address posted below:
