Camarasaurus was a large sauropod dinosaur, growing up to 75 feet long. It lived during the Late Jurassic Period, 150 million years ago, and is known to have tussled with the predatory Allosaurus. It was the most common sauropod of the period; many complete skeletons have been discovered, which is very rare. It used strong jaw muscles and large, chisel-shaped teeth to chop off the plants it ate.
