Daspletosaurus, an ancestor of Tyrannosaurus rex, was the largest and fiercest carnivore of its day. A full grown adult could reach lengths of 36 feet in slength. Although smaller and more lightly built than T.rex, Daspletosaurus was also faster and more agile, making it a much more fearsome predator.
