This tooth is from Otodus obliquus a large extinct mackerel shark. Scientists believe this shark could have been as long as 30 feet. The tooth is between 54 and 33 million years old and Otodus obliquus was a probable ancestor of Megalodon, the largest shark ever to swim the oceans.
