The long, narrow spines of Agustinia make it look so unique that it is impossible to mix up with any other dinosaur. It was also covered with unusual-looking ossified skin plates. As a harmless herbivore, it probably needed the spines and plates to protect against other carnivorous dinosaurs. The Agustinia was ready to defend itself!
